About Boris & Matthew

Boris and Matthew pioneered the contemporary floral design business in Hong Kong. Established in 2005, the floral shop is famous among creative circles in Hong Kong, China and other overseas countries. Their designs are bold and innovative, utilizing the colour and shape of both flower and stem. Co-founder Boris Wu is also the co-founder of Armani Fiori in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Shanghai. He is currently the floral consultant of The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel and Four Seasons Hotel, renowned as Asia’s Las Vegas. Boris and Matthew featured in a news program by TVB, and in magazines such as HK Elle Décor, HK Newsweek and Home Journal and Spa, to name but a few.

Boris and Matthew’s daily operations include a website for online purchasing, walk in customers, and they cater for wedding banquets. Being floral consultants, Boris and Matthew also attain a wide arrange of clients from both the corporate and the private sectors. As appointees for projects with Hong Kong’s most prestigious hotels, conventions and events, all seeking high professionalism and value, for their images and brands, Boris and Matthew is the perfect answer.

創辦人Boris Wu亦同時是香港、台灣及上海Armani Fiori的始創人,澳門威尼斯人度假村酒店及澳門四季酒店的花藝顧問。Boris and Matthew在行內的領導地位,備受傳媒關注,幾年間分別接受了本地電子媒體TVB、雜誌HK Elle Décor、HK Newsweek、Home Journal and Spa等的專訪及報道。

Boris and Matthew主要的業務包括門市、網上訂購,以至宴會(特別是婚宴)的花藝設計及裝飾顧問。除此之外,他們還照顧到企業客戶,為他們旗下的酒店、會議展覽場地及大型活動,提供專業的花藝裝飾服務,為客戶的品牌增值,提升形象。

Boris Wu

Boris started his floral career in 1992. Having developed a unique style of his own by 1995, Boris then joined one of Hong Kong’s best known hotels, The Kowloon Shangri-La . His persistent thirst for knowledge enables him to be one of the most innovative and creative florists around today. His magic touch around all things floral makes him a mastermind of the floral industry, and he is greatly respected by his peers.

Given the work experience and exposure he has gained, and the opportunity to visit fabulous cities, such as New York and Beijing, as well as others in Holland, France, and Dubai, Boris’ study of floral culture is clearly reflected in his talent and passion for all things floral.

Therefore, in 1998, Boris co-founded Gary and Boris Flowers. Opportunities arose in 2001, when Boris helped the company expand by joining forces with the Hong Kong stylish home décor company G. O. D., providing floral requirements for each of the branches in Hong Kong.Boris’ experience and unique style were recognized instantly by the world famous designer Giorgio Armani, who subsequently invited him into a partnership with The Armani Group. Hence in 2002, Asia’s first Armani Fiori (HK) was opened. This soon led to the opening of branches in other Asian cities, such as Shanghai in 2003and Taiwan in 2004.

In 2005, Boris and Mathew opened, bringing a new concept floral shop with a café, which in turn introduced a different lifestyle and business concept to the Hong Kong scene. This trendsetting concept was soon adopted by many business vendors in the Asia Pacific region. By 2007 Boris had achieved special recognition by being appointed as the official consultant for The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel and Four Seasons Hotel, renowned as Asia’s Las Vegas.

Boris has acquired a wide range of clients from the corporate and the private sectors, all seeking high professional standards and value for their images and brands. Boris’ floral arrangements adorn some of Hong Kong’s best hotels, such as The Peninsula and the Four Seasons Hotel. Boris also works closely with Hong Kong Government house, the Hong Kong Jockey Club and David Tang’s renowned China Club. He produces floral designs for major events and promotions on behalf of his world class designer clients, such as such Bentley Hong Kong, Cartier, Christian Dior, Franck Muller, Giorgio Armani, La Mer, Polo Ralph Lauren and Valentino. His client list also includes The Hong Kong Land-The Landmark, Prince’s Building, Alexander House and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Boris was recently given the opportunity to pass on his unique talent by teaching floral arrangement at the British and American Floral Art School in Hong Kong.

Boris Wu早在92年開始其花藝事業,95年加入香港香格里拉酒店花藝部,好學不倦加上獨特天分,使Boris成為本地最具創造力的花藝設計師,他的作品別具個人風格,於行內備受稱譽。


98年Boris創辦Gary and Boris Flowers,2001年與家品名店G. O. D.合作,為G. O. D.店內增設花藝服務。隨後更獲設計大師Giorgio Armani賞識,於2002年在香港開設首家Armani Fiori。

05年Boris創辦Boris and Mathew,嘗試把咖啡室的概念引入花店,開拓了一套全新的經營模式,07年Boris成為澳門威尼斯人度假村酒店及澳門四季酒店的首席花藝顧問。

此外,還有許多顯赫的企業及私人客戶,以Boris的花藝提升他們的品牌形象及宴會佈置,其中便包括香港半島酒店、香港四季酒店、中國會、置地公司物業 - 置地廣場、太子大廈、歷山大廈,以至香港政府各部門、香港賽馬會,及香港迪士尼樂園度假區等。至於外地品牌,則包括Bentley Hong Kong 、Cartier、Christian Dior、Franck Muller、Giorgio Armani、La Mer、Polo Ralph Lauren、及Valentino等。

Boris亦積極培育業內新進,亦曾在香港British and American Floral Art School內擔任花藝設計師的培訓工作。

Matthew Wu

Matthew, a bright, considerate, energetic, and efficient young designer, started his career in floristry in 1998, as an assistant to Boris Wu in the Gary and Boris Flowers.

In 2005, being a creative and imaginative floral designer, Matthew went on to co-found with Boris Wu, Boris and Matthew, a new concept floral shop which, with its café, brought a new lifestyle and business concept to the Hong Kong business scene.

As the Creative Director of Boris and Matthew, Matthew’s minimalist and elegant
style of design is well acclaimed by his clients. A highly capable manager in the work place, Matthew gives outstanding service to his clients, for which he has gained a deservedly excellent reputation.

Matthew has become the key person in projects of Credit Suisse Private Banking, Goldman Sachs, Hair Corner, Hang Seng Bank, La Mer, On Pedder, Bank J. Safra Sarasin Ltd, Hong Kong Branch , The Jockey Club, Vacheron Constantin and many other important projects acquired by Boris and Matthew. It was Matthew’s accomplished decoration, using 20,000 butterfly orchids in the open area of Chao Yang Park in Beijing, that helped to make an extravagant wedding banquet a marvellous success. His design added an elegant and romantic atmosphere to the venue on this splendid occasion.

Matthew Wu自98年起加入Gary and Boris Flowers. 跟隨Boris Wu學習花藝,天賦的條件加上後天的努力,使Matthew很快成為Boris的最佳搭檔。


2005年,Matthew與Boris成立Boris and Matthew,並嘗試把咖啡室的概念引入花店,在同業中開創先河。

現時,Matthew是Boris and Matthew的首席設計師,他的花藝設計風格,以簡約優雅為主,早已贏得客戶的讚譽。同時,他亦是推廣業務的專才,在跟進客戶的需求時,往往能體貼周到,提供百分百的專業服務。

Matthew在Boris and Matthew多個大型項目中均擔當重要角色,服務客戶包括Credit Suisse Private Banking、Goldman Sachs、Hair Corner、Hang Seng Bank、La Mer、On Pedder、Bank J. Safra Sarasin Ltd, Hong Kong Branch Ltd. 、The Jockey Club及Vacheron Constantin等。不久前,在北京朝陽公園內的大型戶外婚禮,作為首席設計師Matthew,更動用了超過二萬朵的蝴蝶蘭裝飾會場,點染出超凡的浪漫氣息,為這個豪華的婚禮添上了完美的一筆。

With his unique sense of beauty in floral design, Rex Wong became an invaluable assistant to Boris Wu, since joining Gary & Boris Flowers as Senior Florist in 2000.

Rex joined Boris Wu and opened Asia’s first Armani Fiori (HK) in 2002. For the following five years, Rex developed his business network and creativity in floral decoration.

As Floral Design Manager of Boris and Matthew, Rex is known by his passion on bringing beauty of flowers into corporate events and weddings. With his thirteenth years of expertise in floral design and customer service, Rex is one of the most talented young floral designers in Hong Kong.
